Koshish

Koshish

Koshish translates to 'try', an attempt to be better.

A step in our efforts to becoming a zero-waste company is actually then a series of smaller steps.

Collect

We collect all the linen extras that result from the cutting and crafting of our Fika collection. Additionally, we buy the industrial scraps from the nearby production mills.

Curate

We segregate the pieces that can be used to make postcards, particularly colors of beige, white and off-white. We then sift through the rest into pieces that can be used for different purposes like a patchwork edit, jewelry pouches for packaging or our one-of-a-kind edits.

Create

Once we have enough treasure for a small edit, we brainstorm with Vikram bhaiya, our tailor to achieve what is best possible.

Koshish is the sum of all these products created out of scraps. This initiative is a not only a source of immense joy but brings forth a pride in craftsmanship, of producing something of beauty, even out of discards.

What was once conceptualised as a trial run, has become a key element in our design process thanks to the love showered on the earlier Koshish edits by our community.

Now, subconsciously we tend to run any new interesting scrap that passes our eye against earlier such collected scrap to find a match- a design for our next Koshish.
