2. What does your work aim to say/do?

Create awareness about how you can prevent or postpone and

manage or even reverse chronic disorders through a good healthy lifestyle.

3.  What are one to three books/ movies/ documentaries/ podcasts that have greatly influenced your life?

Movie - Bloodsport

Jean-Claude Van Damme encouraged me to be healthy and made me realise you can fight fair and still win.

Series - Friends

They came to my rescue when I was down and in the longer run made me realise that however big the problem might be, we can find a simple solution and still be happy while solving it.

4. What is the best or most worthwhile investment you’ve ever made? Could be investment of money, time, energy, etc

Getting married for me was a little difficult so both my wife and me had to invest a lot of time, even more energy and prayers to eventually

get married - so best investment ever!!

5. Is there any system you have put in place that allows you to go off the grid for 4 to 6 weeks? -

I can just go off it as I’am not too involved at this point - but don’t want to do it right now.

6. If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it - metaphorically speaking, getting a message to millions, what would it say and why?

RIGHT NOW I WANT TO USE MY OWN QUOTE

(considering the healthcare scenario)

“IF ONLY YOU WOULD TAKE OUT 30mins TO GO FOR A WALK FROM THE 2hrs YOU SPENT READING ON WAYS TO NOT GET A HEART ATTACK OR DIABETES OR CANCER .. YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO NOT GET IT. … NOW READ THAT AGAIN”

7. Are there any quotes you think of often, or live your life by?

“BE YOU - THE WORLD WILL FOLLOW”

(dont remember who had said this)

8.  What obsessions do you explore in the evenings or the weekends?

I have stopped obsessing.

9. What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?

I love plain boiled pasta.

10. What would you (if you could) tell yourself when you were 18? What advice would you ask your younger self to ignore?

I have this obsessive need to to make every minute of my day productive .. even as a kid in school or 18 in college I remember feeling the pressure of not doing productive things which created a lot of unnecessary pressure on me. Now also I keep waiting for a holiday and the minute I get one, 10mins into it I start feeling restless that I need to utilise the time productively.

So now I am telling myself what I should have told myself when I was 18 - im telling myself to be OK when not doing anything (ofcourse its for a limited time only).

11. What are the bad recommendations/fads you hear in your profession or area of expertise? -

LOTSSSS!! - but 1 that bothers me most - Cut out carbs completely from the diet.

12. When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, what do you do?

I Write - take a pen or even better pencil and I write - I ask myself why am I feeling overwhelmed or unfocused and I write all the answers that come to my mind over the next couple of days - as the reasons come on paper, it helps with clarity of the actual problem, the solution to which then becomes easier to manage.
